Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour

Skills:

• Experience working with individuals with Autism or related disabilities is preferred
• Knowledge of Autism-specific strategies and behavior management techniques

Duties:

• Provide in-home care and support to individuals with Autism
• Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
• Medication reminders and obtaining as-needed
• Assist with mobility and lifting, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment
• Engage in social work activities, promoting socialization and community integration
• Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected

Responsibilities:

I) Client Care

• Assist with daily activities at an individual’s home or daytime residence (Bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and maintaining continence)
• Performs tasks including but not limited to making beds, doing laundry, preparing meals, washing dishes, ironing, cleaning, bathing, dressing, etc.
• Planning and preparation of meals for an individual.
• Assists patients with getting up and down stairs, in and out of bed, etc.
• Medication reminders and obtaining
• Provide transportation (up to 5-mile radius per day, up to 3 times a week)
• Educated the family about the status/health of the individual being cared for
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time**
• The caregiver is responsible for providing services to the assigned client only. If other household members reside there, you are not responsible for their dishes, meals, transportation, etc.

Language and Communications Skills:

Works with a range of adult clients of various ages with multiple types of health care needs. Ability to listen attentively and speak clearly and distinctly when receiving and responding to inquiries.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Training and certification in CPR/First Aid and AED within the first week of employment, and recertification as required. Annually, each employee must have a PPD test or be determined to be free of symptoms of tuberculosis if there was a previous positive PPD.

• Must be tested for TB annually and pass
• Must have a clear background check, no abuse record, no criminal record, etc.
• Must pass a Drug test
• Must maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification
• Must attend and complete DAIL training
• Must have a valid Kentucky Driver's License or ID

Reports To: Attendant Care Supervisor (ACS)

Position Summary:

The EVV Specialist Assistant is tasked with ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all documented visits recorded on the EVV portal utilized by caregivers. Additionally, the EVV Specialist is responsible for answering telephone calls, executing data entry tasks, and managing other administrative duties as assigned by the Attendant Care Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Data entry experience

• Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time

• Excellent organizational skills

• Interest and desire to work with seniors and other adults with special needs

• Satisfactory references, criminal background check, drug screen, alcohol test, and clear TB test

• Extremely detail-oriented

Responsibilities:

I) Phone Management

a. Demonstrates professional phone manners at all times

b. Answers phone calls directed to their phone during office hours

II) Data Entry

a. Enters data for the Attendant Care visits entered into the EVV portal in a timely and accurate manner daily, and submits it on time

b. Provides data entry support for the billing department

c.  Ensure all entries on the EVV portal are priorly verified with the participant and/or Authorized Representative for accuracy and compliance

III) Clerical Support

a. Performs other duties assigned by the Attendant Care Supervisor

b. Conducts training sessions for Attendant Care employees as necessary

c. Performs other tasks as requested by Attendant Care Supervsior including, but not limited to, translating

V) Maintenance of records

a. Assists with filing in the Attendant Care department

b. Maintains records following Buena Vida ADHC Policies and Procedures for Attendant Care visits and EVV verifications

VI) Compliance

a. Abides by the standards identified in Buena Vida ADHC’s Compliance Plan and HIPAA Plan
